How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP4297334 / WE14M124 Drum Support Bearing

I identified the location of the noise and opened up the dryer to find the drum support bearing and slides gone went on line found a video and found that the parts could be purchased. Purchased parts through appliancepartspro they shipped in 2 days and took about 1 hour to replace and have it up and running again. Runs great and saved me about 1000 dollars cause my wife was just going to buy new.

I only installed new parts bearings slides, drum support bearing, and felt trap duct I had no problem and was almost done. then I dropped a screw down under the Drum. I spent an hour to find to make sure it didn't get into the motor, and did not find.... It then went to your video how to remove the Drum. Perfect, I removed the Drum and was able to find the lost screw. Then put the Drum back (hard to put the belt with not much room) used a strap to hold up the Drum and able to remount the belt. Replaced the belt to fix the noise and replaced the drum support and bearing slides to fix the clothes getting caught in the door. Was simple. 

Replace carrier with slides and felt. 

New drum guide, felt trap, rear bearing, nylon slides. 

The front end where the rotating drum sits was warned out. Ordered the part from appliancepartspros.com The parts was at my house by the next day. Replaced them. 

For some time clothes were getting caught in the plastic around the door and then spun up and destroyed. I filled what seemed to be the gaps with JB Weld and that worked for a while. Then the dryer started to chirp, an annoying sound. I knew it was time for a repair. I took off the 3 screws on the cover of the control panel, then the two screws that held the top on. I removed 2 more that held the control panel itself on. This allowed me to remove the 4 screws that held the front on. When I did this it was obvious that the top bearing was worn beyond repair. I ordered the bearing, slides and seal. When they came in it took 5 minutes to put the parts in and put the machine back together. Super simple. All I needed was a phillips screwdriver. If I can do it anyone can.

Put the model # of the drier in a Youtube search and found several videos on what could be the problem and how to fix it. I took apart the drier to assess what parts I needed, ordered the parts, and installed.
