How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP4484324 / WB27T11229 Faceplate

I read about this product on a YouTube video and I was amazed it was that easy to make my oven look better. Just peel off the old overlay, clean the area well, and stick on the new overlay. 

We pulled the oven out installed the new light assembly and put it on. Although the faceplate didn't cover the entire panel because the original was no longer available, it covered the necessary parts and looks WAY BETTER! The interesting thing about the light assembly is that we had a repair technician come to the house and they said it would be too costly to fix and they probably would not be successful, so we didn't move forward. We decided to take the risk of spending the part money to see if he could get it fixed and researched the part on your website. It worked out fine and wasn't too overly hard to fix. We did have to pull it out of the wall to get to the old part. It works perfectly now and for only the cost of the part. thank you!!!!! 

Part came as ordered and was easy to apply to front of oven. Thanks for your help. 

Ordered a new keypad cover (faceplate). 

Due to defective design the old setting buttons cracked on my old wall oven. It was 10 years old but I hardly ever use it. I called GE and they did not make the part any longer. I went to Appliance Parts and got the stick on overlay.I just took the old buttons off and stuck on the new overlay. It looks perfect. The black color works fine even though the old color was bisque/off white. Great price, great quality. Save me a bundle! Thank you! 

Installed the retrofit pieces that GE came up with, new panel, board and faceplate. 

Ordered new face plate sticker and attached. Very easy. Looks MUCH better! 

Found Appliance Part Pros, found the part, watched the how to fix video, ordered part, came the next day and followed video for install. Done in 10 minutes. 

So I looked all over for the inlay cover to replace it on my 15 year oven, but unfortunately, no one carries it anymore. Well, I was wrong I found it here at AppliancePartsPros.com. This worked perfectly and I didn’t have to do all that retrofitting. If you don’t mind the edges of the overlay exposed, it works just fine. 

My husband and I both found the new faceplate amazing. How it fit and how the faceplate was perfect to lay over the old panel. Thank you and the manufacturer for a solution. Saved us hundreds from not having to buy a new wall oven.
