How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP6278228 / WR60X26866 Refrigerator Evaporator Fan Motor

Ordered the part from AppliancePartsPros.com Followed the excellent video. 

When I put the model # of the refrigerator in the search box it came back with lots of problems and solutions by other customers. One fellow had the exact model and exact issue I was having with this 6 year old appliance. I ordered the recommended fan motor and received it the next day with overnight shipping. BUT, the best help was the step by step instructional video on how to remove the old one and install the new one. This is the second time I've had to use AppliancePartsPros.com and these are great people to work with that know their jobs. I spent more time trying to get all of the trays and drawers back in the unit that I did actually pulling the panels and making the repair. Plus I had the video of Simon running on the computer of the repair and kept going back to it. 

Replaced the evaporator fan motor. 

After searching internet for solution, came upon AppliancePartsPros.com They had some other postings with what seemed to be the same problem. I watched an easy to follow repair video on their site, bought the evaporator fan motor from them, which was less expensive than other places. Following the video exactly, a rather complicated job was broken down into simple to follow steps, and the refrigerator is now up and running and I saved at least $2800. Hip hip hooray. 

I did some research on the internet and was able to determine that it was the evaporator fan. It was much easier than anticipated to fix, but saved me a lot of money by doing it myself. 

Replaced fan motor, not exactly as video. No sleeve surrounding fan, rubber bracket on top of fan, one side double silicone pins to remove from old and other side silicone buttons that lock into keyway. Very secure and better than sleeve as motor is vibration isolated from cover. Motor mounts under the coil cover and pull rubber tips up through holes to secure. A little water for lube. Overall very slick. 

REPLACED THE EVAPORATOR FAN. 

Replaced the refrigerator's evaporator fan motor. 

Received the part, watched the video to learn the procedure, and replaced the old fan with the new one. 

I had to replace the Evaporator Fan Motor which blows the cold air up into the upper compartment.
