How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP6278228 / WR60X26866 Refrigerator Evaporator Fan Motor

When I made the door closed switches with the doors open I could not hear the fan running. The freezer fan was okay. I replaced the fresh food evaporator fan. It did not seem to help with the temperature but I could now hear it running. By the next day, it had settled down and now it is working fine. The video on the site was extremely helpful. 

Periodically the evaporator fan motor would not run. After several resets the motor started making noise. Replaced fan motor. Diagnosing the problem was the hardest part of the repair. 

Ordered part from manufacture anfer 2 weeks still have not received Got correct part fromm APP within 3 days. Watched a video made the repair withim 60 minutes and all is wofking. 

Ordering a new improved Evaporator Fan Motor with a heavier magnet, more powerful overall. 

Troubleshooting, resetting, cleaning coils, etc. My boyfriend then realized the fan was not operating correctly. it took a few days to find the actual problem, but once we realized what it was, I ordered the part from you and had it within two days!! Once the new fan was received, it was installed and put back together within 15 minutes! However, it did take the refrigerator about 20 hours to reset and assume the set temperature. Thank you!!

Watched a video on how to get to the fan. Literally unplugged the old one and replaced it with the new one. No need for a software update.

Found the recirculating fan for the fridge failed. Unplug and empty fridge contents. Remove the covers inside the fridge compartment and replace the Evaporator Fan Motor.
