How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP3794323 / WD12X10109 Fine Filter

Overall the repair was pretty simple after watching the video on youtube. However, the one thing it did not cover was the fact that the part that you pry out with a putty knife and screw driver also has a screen in the side of it. Mine was completely plugged. I opened the screen using a hat pin and an old tooth brush. Now the washer works like new. 

Replaced the fine filter (was clogged) and fine filter hub nut (was broken). 

Replaced old parts with new, watched some youtube videos to see how to dismantle. 

Watched the videos, took necessary parts out and cleaned them, bought additional parts from AppliancePartsPros.com, installed all parts and, like magic, the dishwasher works fine! 

By watching the video I pulled out the dishwasher, turned it on its side, unscrewed 3 clamps and replaced it. 

Upper and lower spray arms were clogged with food and debris and they were not worth the time and labor to clean. So I replaced them and the fine filter. 

Ordered the filter fine assembly, after finding it in our appliance manual, easy to remove and install, and it has solved the problem 

Searched for new filter and found one at AppliancePartsPro.com 

When I pulled the "FINE" out it was obvious the tube was clogged. I cleared the tube but there was more material inside the filter that I couldn't remove. So, I ordered one from A.P.P. got it the next day!!!!!!!! I put it all back together and it now works fine!!! Thanks, A.P.P. !!! 

Bought and replaced all the parts I thought could be failing in the near future, as well as the bad part. To test the fine filter assembly I used a hose and put water to the outlet. It was mostly plugged, so I replaced it. I broke a tang on the Fine Filter Hub Nut, so that is included. The Pump connector showed serious deterioration on the inside, and the Inlet Sump was split. The You Tubes were the silver bullet, as I forget details. The videos were shot well and I could check to see that everything was proper. I might add that I installed a water alarm ($11.00) as a final touch.
