How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP3425746 / WR01X10315 Refrigerator Auger Nut

I replaced it with the new one. 

The nylon nut at end of the auger was defective, stripped, and came loose. 

Found the diagnosis on appliancepartspros.com, and got the correct part from them. Very fast, put in in 20 minutes and back in business. 

REPLACED THE COVER AND EVERYTHING WORKS FINE, NOW. 

Watched your video and followed the video and had a little trouble getting the auger out of the bucket because of one tab not releasing. The old saying happy wife happy life. We really appreciate all your help and good service. Thank you very much

Ordered new ice dispenser crusher cover; several days later parts arrived. watched the video installed the parts per the directions in the video. so far working fine. Note there was a small chip in the auger nut from when I replaced the auger recently so I replaced the auger nut too while I had the unit disassembled. easy and quick getting parts from "appliancepartspros.com".

I disassembled the ice dispenser and found that two parts had become distorted and stripped of their threads. It was very simple to replace the damaged parts. It required about 20 minutes of time and nothing more than a flat-head and Phillips screwdriver.
