How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP3192221 / WD26X10016 Drain Pump

Replaced with new unit. 

Turns out that the filter screens had been clogged with paper dissolved from labels my wife had failed to remove from some jars my wife wanted to use... caused the drain pump to burn out. My son and I pulled it out and rebuilt the unit, besides the new drain pump, we replaced the pump seal and impeller and all of the door gaskets. Our unit's power was hard-wired and we spent over an hour fishing the supply and drain lines back through the cabinets due to the location in our kitchen island... The overall repair took us about 5 hrs but it was time well-spent and the dishwasher is now functioning as good as new.

We replaced the drain pump. 

My GE profile dishwasher is about twelve years old. One day it decided it didn't want to drain the water that was in the tub. Thankfully appliance parts pros were only a few clicks away. I ordered a new drain pump and a drain sump. My dishwasher is running like new again. The installation videos were very helpful. 

Removed dishwasher, and placed outside, upside down. Took the part out of the box, located exact part on machine, and replaced with new (everything is underneath, except the control panel). Returned dishwasher to cabinet space, leveled, and checked. Repair was easy, getting it out, and back in, was frustrating. Voila! Great website and great prices. 

Replaced drain pump asm. 

Simple fix. I used the test codes which are on the paperwork attached to the dishwasher to identify the darin pump was not working. Just hummed like it was stuck. Took out the DW and opened the old pump to see if something was stuck in the impaellor. Nothing there. Turning the impeller by hand was difficult. Ordered the pump drain assy and paid standard shipping. SHowed up in 2-3 days. Put in the new pump and everything is good. Very simple remove and replace. Took less than 20 minutes once I had the new part. I did not need the flapper valve because the pump assy had a new one in it. Thanks for the great service
