How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP7215773 / WD21X24901C Dishwasher Main Control Board

Replaced Control board - after various reset, power off and wire trace attempts. Note - the great video helped but failed to note the connectors had 'lock' strips on each, near impossible to get off with out breaking (I broke 4 of 5). 

After reading the blogs of the problems that others had. Did some more digging. Found the part I needed. Watched a video that was posted from the blog. Guess what I have a working dish washer. Could not be happier. Great clear information that was consistent throughout. 

Replaced the Electronic Control Board. 

Tried the door switch and it didn’t fix the problem. Since I replaced the door switch and the maintenance mode kept indicating that the door was open, I knew it was the main board. I ordered this board with overnight shipping for the same price as all other vendors. After 20-minutes of installation, the dishwasher was once again working like it should! 

We called an appliance repairman who wanted to take advantage of us. I told him to leave and went to AppliancePartsPros.com. There, I found the parts breakdown and figured out how my appliance was assembled. It wasn't long before I ordered the part and installed it myself. I will never call a repairman again. 

Replaced the original part with the new. 

I replaced the upper board and the bottom board. 

Replaced TWO Door switches, each of which helped the Dishwasher run for 5 to 10 days. A good soul on a troubleshooting forum pointed out it wasn't the switch but the main control board causing the issues. I ordered the board. It arrived sooner than promised, well packed. Replaced the main circuit board. Fairly easy to do and my dishwasher is back running. 

Changed out the main board at the bottom of the dishwasher. I had to cycle it twice as it still didn't work but came back on and has been working since.
