How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP7215773 / WD21X24901C Service Machine Control

After watching some youtube videos, the control board appeared to be the problem. After scanning the code on the dishwasher, it gave me the model number and part list. Saw AppliancePartsPros.com had great reviews and the part is in stock. Ordered and received it a few days later. The Control board was well packaged and in an ESD bag. Installed and the problem was fixed. 

I entered the dishwasher into service mode and nothing happened. I tested the door latch switch and it appeared to be working correctly. After checking my power connections, and drain, and making sure the other sensors were not sending an error code. I was able to determine the control board was bad, while ordering the board I also ordered a new latch since there are fairly inexpensive. Parts arrived on the day they were supposed to. I replaced the Electronic Control Board and Door Latch with zero issues and the dishwasher was back up and running without any problems. 

I did some online research, including watching a couple of YouTube videos. I found the control board on a few sites. While another site had a lower price, AppliancePartsPros.com had the lowest price with the best reputation and quick shipping. Replacing the board from under the dishwasher was a tight fit. But, after various attempts to remove and replace various wires and the board housing, I was successful (and saved over $150 in labor). Tips: Use needle nose plyers for the board tabs; take pictures before you unplug wires from the old board to use when plugging into the new board; a flashlight is helpful.

Bought the control board from you and received it quickly. It was packed very well. 

Replaced WD21X24901 control board underneath the front on the dishwasher and it starts and runs like it should now. 

Same as others, would not start and occasionally power cycling would fix it. Eventually, that didn't work and after reading through other posts, the control board on the bottom of the dishwasher was bad. Replaced it and worked as expected. 

Replaced the Electronic Circuit Board. 

Replaced the circuit board. $125 and got in mail in 2 days. Easy repair with video. I had my teenage son do it. Repairman quoted me $450. Extremely satisfied. 

I did a diagnostic check on the control board that told me the door switch was bad. Checked the door switch with an ohm meter and it was good. Went to board and ohms from door switch wires were checking good. Looked on the internet under the model of my dishwasher and they reported a lot of trouble with the main circuit board. I ordered a new one and installed it. Problem solved. The board was 50.00 cheaper at AppliancePartsPros vs the local dealer. Happy ending....
