How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP7215773 / WD21X24901C Dishwasher Main Control Board

Saw very similar situations online and all led to replacing the circuit board - I ordered a new one from ApplianceParts Pros.com and installed it - all is good -- saved a bunch of money + a good feeling of fixing it myself. 

Replaced the electronic board.

Searched the web for repair ideas and came across Appliance Parts Pros...they not only described my "condition", they had a video of how to fix the problem! I ordered the part and it was delivered in lightening speed...a new control board was installed in 15 minutes and my wife was ecstatic...which made me ecstatic! Thanks for your assistance and money saving tips. 

First I bought a new door latch, which did not help. tTen I bought a new motherboard, which fixed the issue. Never know what caused the issue, so even though the door latch didn’t seem to fix it, I do not want to put the original on in case it burnt the motherboard. 

New control board 

After eliminating the door switch as an issue, I replaced the control board and issue was resolved. 

Replaced the main control board and dishwasher is back to normal. Over time I noticed that the dishwasher became more and more erratic in its behavior during a normal washing cycle. The water valve would click on and off multiple times during a fill, the washer pump would turn on and then immediately off several times before staying on for a few min and then turning off again. I could hear relays clicking on and off, but the dishwasher was nothing was actually turning on and off. The soap dispenser would also sometimes not open and the green light would not come on after cycle completion. Thankfully the control board is easy to replace and now it is back to normal operation. 

My GE dishwasher would turn on, but no water entered. Did a code check and said I needed a new control board. Ordered the board and put it in, back to work it goes. 

Tested LED light on control board. Was steady off. Replaced the control board and it's working really well again.
