How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP7215773 / WD21X24901C Dishwasher Main Control Board

I searched forums online to help troubleshoot the problem, because you don't get manuals these days, everything is online. First, I had to call a repair man to find out why the dishwasher lights were flashing. He determined that the control board was malfunctioning. By using a test instrument. Replaced the appliance machine control board. 

It took me a bit to figure out how to properly look at the control panel. It drops down from the metal box just above the junction box on the bottom of the dishwasher. Once I figured out what was wrong and ordered the part, switching the control is trivial. 1/4 and 5/16 socket and a little manipulation to get the metal box back together. 

First tried replacing the door latch module, but that didn't fix it. Replacing the main control board fixed the problem.
