How to Troubleshoot & Replace Lg AP4997596 / ADQ32598202 Lg Mesh Filter Assembly

This sight pointed me to the pump being bad by the error code on the dishwasher. I also purchased a new filter, because mine was disgusting. I followed some simple videos on Youtube and got the job done in about a half day. The extra time was to actually install the dishwasher correctly. The original installer installed it crooked and leaning forward which is why it ran onto the floor when it did not drain. I also found this disgusting plastic filer unit on the side. Watching another video, we cleaned all the moldy calcium out of it, wiped down the interior and it runs and looks like new again for about $100.00 

Filter replacement involved several steps using a flathead and a phillips screwdriver. 

Replaced soap and rinse despenser 

I ordered the mesh filter from you and replaced the water filter assy. AppliancePartsPros.com verified my model # before offering the part. They had a video to go with it. Great job guys. super helpful!!! 

I thought I fixed it.. but I didn’t. I cleaned the top and bottom spray arms and replaced the filter assembly. It worked for one load and now it’s doing the same thing again. 

The tub screen had a few holes in it allowing sludge till build up underneath, preventing proper recirc water through the pump. I ordered another screen, removed 8 screws and replaced screen assembly. Quick and easy. 

Replaced the Mesh Filter Assembly. 

Installed a new Mesh Filter. 

Followed the LG owner's manual instructions for cleaning the wash "arms". After that was complete the lower arm wouldn't operate. The filter assemble was caked with calcium, so decided to replace it and the lower spray arm and the "Holder" as your catalog described it. Removal and replacement were easy. The exploded parts diagrams on your website were very helpful.
