Cleaned all the spinning arms (3) to no avail (took apart and ran hot water through them in the laundry tub and rinsed w/ vinegar). Filter was the next step. Such a shame that it can't be removed and cleaned... what a waste. . First filter that was sent had a defect/broken tab on the back. AppliancePartsPros.com replaced quickly and easily, fast shipping. Still, had to wait 2 days for this repair... but not much I could do on my end.
Installation was quick and easy and dishwasher now running like new, no food/grease and glasses are spotless and squeaky-clean.
There was quite a bit of debris and hair (?!?) stuck in and around the white plastic spinning disc on which the filter sits. I took that out (that one screw turns OPPOSITE of what you'd think - righty-loosey lefty-tighty!!) and cleaned it. We live in an old house w/ plumbing issues so I think there may have been some backing up of water at some point which would explain the hair issues (yikes). All back to better, just wish it wouldn't have cost close to $100 to fix it. Of course - much less expensive than having someone come in to fix it - or buying a new machine!
