How to Troubleshoot & Replace Lg AP4438254 / 4413ER1003A Rotor Assembly

Removed old one. Installed new factory part. Perfect fit. 

It was easy to use their part replacement lookup feature. I ordered the replacement Rotor Assembly and received it a day earlier than the estimated delivery date. It installed easily and worked perfectly. Saved me a $300+ service call. 

I removed the back panel using a nut driver. There are 4 screws. Once removed, I used a 17mm socket & removed the bolt holding the rotor assembly on the tub. I ordered this part using the parts diagram provided by appliancepartspros.com. It arrived in 4 days after & took around 5 minutes to install very easily. My LG Steamwasher works like brand new now. Replaced rotor assembly, plastic gear was stripped. 

Removed the back panel, noticed the bolt that holds the rotor assembly was loose. Inspected the rotor assemble and determined the plastic center sprocket was completely stripped out. Reviewed the video on Appliance Parts Pros and ordered the part. Installed the new rotor assembly, the washer has returned to normal operation. In the second review of the video, I discovered I forgot the Loctite on the retaining bolt. Opened it back up and got some Loctite on the bolt. Done. 

Gear was stripped on the rotor assembly. Ordered the part on a Saturday, it was delivered on Tuesday. Installed quickly and easily. 

Replaced rotor assembly. 

Googled the problem. Found this great website to get the part fast and at a reasonable price. Received the part next day and replaced it within 10 minutes. Super easy, watched a YouTube video and fixed it no problem. (I’ve never fixed anything like this before!) 

Four screws on the back panel. One bolt on the rotor, replace the rotor and we were back in business. 

-Bought Rotor replacement -Removed back panel of washer -Removed Rotor Assembly and slide on new assembly - In total job took about 20-30 minutes including moving washer to get to back panel
