How to Troubleshoot & Replace Lg AP4437692 / 4036ER4001C Outer Tub Seal

My husband replaced the bearings on our machine. Now my washer runs very smoothly and much quieter too. 

Dismount the washer machine, step by step following the video instructions, remove se es, remove broken bearings, clean everything and mount washer. 

I've never taken a washer apart before but figured it had to be the bearings. I found a great YouTube video on disassembling my model washer and replacing the bearings. I looked up the model number on this website and all the parts were in stock so I ordered them here. I've never ordered from here before but the parts came in 2 days and I fixed the washer and its like new now! 

Your demonstration video was excellent. I watched it twice and was able to complete the job. 

Watched one of your videos on YouTube that gave me an idea what might be wrong with my LG washing machine. Could not believe how detailed the video was. I ordered parts from you guys, and installed them, again watching your detailed video, and washer is back up and running smooth. Very happy with your company. Thank you, John B 

The job was not too bad using the video. The only problem I had was once the spider arm came out I noticed that the the inner tub bearing had completely deteriorated. This meant that the outer race of the bearing remained seated in the tub. I did a little more research and found other articles where people had the same problem. In order to get the race out I had to take a rotary tool and slowly cut the race. This took me about an hour because I did not want to damage the tub. After slowly cutting and tapping the race with a chisel, it finally came apart. With the race out I was able to follow the rest of the video and put everything back together. It has now been running fine for a month. 

Ordered the parts from Appliancepartspros and followed the video to tear down and put back together. 

I found the spider arm assembly was cracked in 2 places do to corrosion from our water out here. I replaced the spider arm assembly, tub seal and outer tub seal. While apart I made sure bearings for drum assembly had no play and spun smoothly. I used laundry soap for lubing tub seal inner races of bearings ant shaft of spider arm for smooth assembly. Should have ordered door seal as when machine was working incorrectly it also received slight damage. 

I saw your video of how to replace the spider on the washing machine drum, it was quite easy. I just followed the instructions as cited in the fixit video and was able to fix my issue. I ordered the spider arm, inner tube seal and outer tub seal with 6 custom screws that goes in the spider arm. Though it tool some time to get the custom screws ordered from appliance parts pros since it went into the back order from the manufacturer. But I am happy that I got them and just fix each part on it's place and pack the machine back to original format. The screws that were stuck in the drum were not easy to remove. I tried 10mm wrench but only one of them was able to come out easily, the rest were very difficult. I used the rust breaker fluid as well but that did not worked. Finally I have to use the cutter to cut the flange out and pull them all with a drill machine. 

Took it apart like the video showed and verified that was the problem. Then ordered the suggested parts and had them within 2 days. Then reassembled and checked for leaks.
