First off, I unplugged the washer.
To access the door latch assembly, I had to peel back the door seal from the front of the washer cabinet near the latch. This required me to remove the seal retaining ring.
Once the seal was detached, I removed two Phillips screws located above and below the latch. After that, I pulled out the latch assembly and unplugged it (you need to press on the latch on the connector body). I then swapped in the new latch and plugged it in...took a good amount of pressure to get the connector latch snapped in.
The new latch went back in the cabinet, and two Phillips screws were replaced and tightened.
The hardest part of the process was getting the retaining ring back on the door seal. Just be careful not to tear the seal. I found that it was easiest to install the ring by starting with the tensioning spring, then working the ring under the seal around to where the latch is. A little jockeying to stretch the spring and I was able to get the ring installed.
Plugged the washer back in and ran a quick rinse and spin cycle to verify my work.
