How to Troubleshoot & Replace Samsung AP4219712 / DE60-20066A Microwave Mounting Bolt

Got exactly what I needed in less than two days. Thanks! 

Ordered new bolts and nuts and installed them myself. 

Ordered parts from appliance parts pros and downloaded instructions.. 

Installer missed drilled the hole for the mounting bolt so it was at an angle. To top that off, he had cross-threaded the bolt into the bracket and it couldn't be removed. Had to saw that bolt off to get the oven down. Looked up Appliance Parts Pros (as I've done in the past), checked their diagram, found the part(s), made the order, and received them quickly. Oven is done! Appliance Parts Pros makes it easy for the DIY'er to get the right part at a fair price. I'll use them again! 

Removed cover of microwave and replaced nut. Simple repair 

I replaced the Control Panel Module and Noise Filter Board which restored my Kenmore Elite (Samsung) deluxe microwave oven back to full operation. Also replaced the Damper cover with a brand new one, along with the left-side cabinet bolt. I contacted AppliancePartsPros.com regarding the unused parts which were not needed, and I was very promptly provided a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA). Thus far the process has been smooth Laarand efficient, and the parts ordering, technical and return team members have been very friendly, helpful, prompt, and professional. 

Ordered bracket and hardware, came within 3 days from ordered date which was appreciated and everything worked out perfect! Exactly what we needed for our Samsung over range microwave. 

Ordered these two screws and nut assembly. Your representative was cordial and helpful. The parts came in less than 24 hours. We put it back together and hung the microwave. 

This turned out to be a much bigger project than just replacing a mounting screw. It took me 3 days because of all the other stuff that was wrong. Removed microwave from the wall and cabinet. One of the screws was the wrong thread. Ordered a new screw. Nut to hold microwave was missing. Disassembled microwave found and remount nut. Reassembled microwave. The cabinet that microwave mounts were damaged from moisture. Removed cabinet. Removed damaged top and bottom panels. Cut the new top and bottom panels. Reassembled cabinet. I reworked vent that was improperly installed (range vent totally blocked). Switched to rectangular vent. Repaired damaged wall. Cut a new hole in the ceiling for the rectangular vent. I repaired the hole left by the round vent. Rehung wall cabinet. Rewired outlet so electrical box in the wall not surface mount in the cabinet. Remounted microwave bracket. I discovered the wrong bracket was used. Modified bracket to work with the microwave. Installed microwave and remounted with both screws. 

Cut the bent bolt. Called Appliance Parts Pros and spoke with a pro. He located the bolt and internal nut I would need. Explained the shipping options. I had my parts in hand the next morning. Skipped the installer this time. Ladies you need not pay a man to install your new over the range microwave. You can do it. I will save this site. Appliance repairs and parts made easy and fast. These guys are GREAT!
