Rhys F Leander , TX October 12, 2020 Appliance: Model WF330ANW/XAA 01 Washer would not drain and intermittently had error code of nd Removed and replaced the drain pump. The instructional video is out of date for the front load Samsung washer, but the process is the same. You have to remove the top, then remove the soap dispenser, but not all the plumbing for it; just get it out of the way. After that, remove the control panel and disconnect the two connectors. Since you will need to remove the front cover and door assembly, you will need to remove the spring retainer that holds the front rubber seal. Now that you have access to the door latch and closed door pin, remove those screws to ensure you can pull the door away. Also, you will need to remove the two screws that holds the plastic drain area and pull that small housing off. Don't forget the two bottom screws on the bottom of the front panel, as well. Once those are all removed, you can remove the four screws at the top holding the front panel on and lean it back and lift it out. Now that you have access to the drain pump, just remember to fully drain the system from there by squeezing the hoses attached and then it's a matter of disconnecting the power plug, disconnecting hoses, and there are two bolts holding the drain pump to the floor of the machine. Slide it backwards to where the rubber grommet is free in the channel and you can pull out the pump. Reconnect the new pump to the rest of the housing and put it all back together in the exact reverse order, and you are golden. You can do it; just take your time and don't be in a hurry. It takes about 30-45 minutes total. Moving the washer to an area where I could work on it was the bigger task! David H Cameron Park , CA August 24, 2014 Appliance: Samsung Washer WF448AAP/XAA-0000 Samsung washer would not drain drain motor was making a lot of noise in its attempt to drain Removed and replaced the washer's drain motor. The recycle motor was working perfectly. Used a Utube video to familiarize myself with the disassembly - very simple. The only item that really needs a special tool is replacing the door seal clamp - was able to muscle it anyhow. Tool would be great. Qm S Silver Spring , MD March 23, 2015 Appliance: Samsung Washer- Horizontal Axis WF306BHW/XAA Water pump was struggling to get the water out of the machine debris was stuck in the pump and the impeller had broken Opened up the back of the washer. The pump lies on the bottom frame in front of the rear service opening. There is an electrical power connector that can be removed by hand. Press down on the clip and pull the connector off the pump. There are 2 hoses connected to the pump with clips that can be released by hand. Get a towel to sop up any water that may still be in the lines and put them around and under the pump and hoses. Remove the hoses and let the water drain out. It has 3 bolts (I think they are 9/16th inch) that come out and release a frame that holds the pump to the main chassis. There is a screw on the bottom of the frame attached to the pump that needs to be removed. Then twist the pump and the frame in opposite directions to detach them from each other. Three screws hold the pump housing to the motor. Remove them taking notice of the alignment between the housing and the motor as well as which holes are being used. The housing will go onto the new pump and needs to line up again the same way. Reverse the steps and get ready to test. Sandra S Iron , MN November 18, 2016 Appliance: Samsung Washer WF448AAP/XAA-0000 Bought the samsung vrt wf448aap second hand supposedly worked would not drain nd error I opened the lower filter door. Opened the little drain tube and drained the tub. Opened the filter and about 3/4 cup of beach sand came out. I ran the rinse and spin cycle thru four times;each time more sand came out, but had to drain it with the small hose each time as the pump would not operate. I assume it was damaged by the sand. Removed the pump assy and then unscrewed the pump. Using my multimeter, I checked resistance across terminals of pump. 12 ohms. Expected to see about 150 ohms. Put the new pump on when it arrived and reassembled machine. Works great!!
