How to Troubleshoot & Replace Samsung AP4580056 / DE34-00330C Microwave Switch Membrane

Ordered new pad from AppliancePartsPros. Part arrived in good time. Found online information on removing keypad without removing microwave from above oven. Easy repair. however the key pad has a very sticky glue. Do not allow pad to touch until it is perfectly placed. it it touches it can not be removed without possibly damaging pad. I recommend to get help from a second set of hands. 

The first part that was sent was faulty, the screen was very dim. However when I called to inquire about a new part the customer service representative was extremely helpful and provided me with a new part hopefully this one will work.

Replaced the microwave keypad. 

Replaced the control PAD membrane. 

I removed the keyboard assembly by first removing 2 screws from the upper horizontal vent, sliding the vent left to unlock, remove one screw from top of keyboard assembly, unplug all electrical connectors, getting the old key membrane out was a little hard,its glued in for years, note where the 2 ribbons are located for installment. 

Replaced membrane keypad. Found YouTube video for easy instructions. It now works fine. 

Replaced front panel keyboard or membrane 

Ordered membrane switch and switched out for the new one. Hardest part of the job was cleaning the old glue off before installing new switch. Recommend liberal soaking with Goo-B-Gone, let her set, and then easily clean it off with dish soap and water. Also, glue on new pad is fast sticking so make sure it is lined up properly. By the way, shipping very quick, very quick.
