I had to take the door and the entire front of the dryer off to access the drum. Dryer is 11 years old , so I decided to replace the drum and blower motor belts along with 4 support rollers and the idler pulley. This was a maintenance thing as long as I had the dryer apart. I also did a through cleaning of the inside and outside of the dryer and the vent line. The cleaning probably took longer than the repair/maintenance work but is a must. The hardest part of the job was re-attaching the drum belt to the idler pulley. You are on the floor and really can't see the pulley with the drum in place and you must balance the drum with one hand and try to attach the belt with the other, TOUGH. I had my wife hold/steady the drum while I attached the belt, worked out a lot better but you still have to be flexible. I almost for got to mention what started this little project, the drum seal replacement was very easy to accomplish. Completely remove the old seal and clean off any residue stretch fit the new seal into place and glue onto the dryer drum. APP does have videos on how to do this and many other very helpful repair videos.
