Before finding ApplianceParts.com, I thought for sure I was going to be buying a new washer but that wasn't the case. After watching the video and reading the blogs on how to check the resistance on the motor, I was pretty sure that the MCU was the issue but I wanted to also checked the continuity of the wire harness between the motor and the MCU. One posting even suggested unplugging the connectors to the motor and MCU and plugging everything back in to make sure it is not a bad or loose connection. Neither of those fixed the issue so I decided with the ApplianceParts.com guarrantee, I would replace the MCU first since that is what the resistance test pointed too. I got my new MCU in two days and using the installation video they provided, I had the old one out and the new one in in less than 30 minutes. With the video, I kind of felt like a professional repairman because the repair was so easy. Now that everything was back together, it was time to test it and WOW, the washer was working perfectly again. To replace the washer, I would have had to easily pay $900 but by fixing it myself I look at as I saved more than $600. Thanks ApplianceParts.com!
