How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP7205486 / W11629974 Ice Level Control Board

Purchased kit and installed - that was it! 

First I replaced the ice maker but no results.When I replaced the emitter board or infrared controller the same thing 2 hr later start getting ice.Easy fix .Great website. 

Followed AppliancePartsPros instructional video to replace the ice level Power Control board set, and it was fixed right away! It was super easy. All you need is 2 screw drivers and a piece of tape. Thank you! I might ad this failure was due to the circuit breaker on the house being turned off, then on again. The ice maker is 10 years old. 

First I determined that the icemaker was working as was the water valve. So really the only thing left was Ice Level Power Control Board Kit. I got on YouTube to see how to install the boards and it took about 10 minutes to install both boards. 

I checked out the website and purchased the Ice Level Power Control Board Kit and installed it in the freezer section of the refrigerator exactly the way that it was explained on your website. Ice started piling up in the ice storage area within an hour. I had gone to the retailers website and called the number for 'expert advice' on what I needed to repair our unit and was told that we needed a whole new maker unit. I bought that unit and installed it but it turns out that the expert was wrong, I won't be going back to them for any future help .r purchases 

Followed the official PDF for troubleshooting. Determined to be the emitters. Part came next day even though I didn't pay for it! Nice! Replaced the part after watching APP video in about 10 minutes. Very easy to replace. Thanks APP!!! 

Replaced ice level control kit 

I ordered both the Ice level power control board kit and the complete Icemaker assembly after speaking with Appliance Parts Pros Customer Service and their generous return policy. I replaced the Ice level power control board first, but got no ice even though the indicator light was flashing one single blink with pause indicating proper functioning. I then replaced the Icemaker assembly, and between the two new parts I had Ice again! The parts only took a total of a half hour installing, as I had never done it before, and for less than $200 the icemaker was working again at well below what a service charge and inflated parts would have cost! 

We followed the diagnostics and found the PC boards were faulty. The parts arrived quickly. Followed the instructions and we have ice again. Thanks
