How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP7205486 / W11629974 Ice Level Control Board

I read the articles on the internet and noticed that the LED lights were blinking which meant that the Infrared light system was not working. I ordered the infrared replacements parts. 

Replaced the icemaker but it still was not working correctly. Realized that the red light blnking next to the icemaker was a code telling me it wasnt the icemaker but the ice bucket level sensor boards. Ordered the circuit boards, replaced them and all is good to go. 

I searched online for a solution to the problem and found your website.I watched your do it yourself video and decided I could repair the problem myself.I ordered the part and easily installed it. Frig works great now 

I contacted your site, got some good suggestions, watched two videos, determined the causes, ordered the parts. After receipt of the parts, I installed two new ice maker circuit boards in 15 minutes, and then went to the dish washer and installed both new side counter balance units to bottom back mounted springs and the door bottoms in another 20 minutes. Wonderful. Thank you. 

Put in new Ice maker, still had the problem. Installed the two circuit boards and the Ice started again. Very easy to do. 

Replaced Control Boards. First shipment had one of two boards incorrect. Second shipment had correct boards and changing was easy following video. Now works fine. 

I can't believe my husband was able to fix our ice maker by purchasing parts from your website and using your videos for guidance. I was truly amazed that it was so easy and we saved so much money by not having to call a service repairman. 

Ordered parts on tuesday - got them (next day) on wednesday day before Thanksgiving. took 15 min. to fix. Looks like you guys have hit a home run with the diagnosis, video and excellent service! Thank You! BTY had plenty of ice for Thanksgiving!
