How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP4010226 / 12002533 Door Boot Seal

I followed the video. I don't think I could have fixed it without the video. Thanks so much. 

Viewed two videos; Amazingly the proper Product was represented and was (suspiciously) too easy to order. Held my breath and figured wrongly that I would be reordering a different part. It came on time! Was the correct part for the job! Works great and didn't even need to review the video!!! 

I ran the Longest wash cycle (98 minutes) twice with white vinegar ash cycle (98 minutes) twice with white vinegar and Clorox mixtures. It cleaned the tub and the pump drain. I soaked the Door Boot Seal in small bowl of white vinegar and blew it out with the fan and jet spray on an outside hose. Upon inspection everything was clean and clear. I watched APP's video on how to remove and reinstall my Maytag. The video was great and directions were very clear. To keep the screws with the right parts, I taped the screws to each part from which the screws came. All screws and parts were installed in their proper place with no screws left over. This was my first time repairing our nine old Maytag myself and it is working great. Thank you AppliancePartsPros.com. The part was on my doorstep much quicker than expected with the free shipping choice I made. Ordered new part and replaced it. 

Replaced both Parts. I have some mechanical experience, but I have never worked on a front loading wash machine before. However, with the Video Appliance Parts Pros supplied, it couldn't have been any easier. 

After receiving the part from AppliancePartsPros.com I saw the link to the video to replaced it myself. I pulled up the video and played and paused through the replacement. I was so excited because the video had every step and was very clear what to do next. I completed and everything is running as if new and no leaks. I couldn't be happier with the job. Saved a lot of $ by doing it myself. I would do this again in a heartbeat!! 

I called and confirmed the correct part which arrived very fast. The video was a great help. Mine is a stacked unit and the video was only for stand alone washer so if you make a video for stacked that would be a big help. I also found the service manual for my stacked Neptune online and that helped to cover the differences from the video. Several people mentioned this and I'll also say that the hardest part is getting the spring to connect the cable. Get a second person to help! The manual stressed the importance is properly aligning the tabs and be sure you do that too. Overall, I was vey pleased with everything! 

Replaced the door boot seal while watching the video from Appliance Parts Pro. The video was excellent and showed every step clearly. The Dispenser Valve was easy to access while replacing the door boot seal since the front and top of the washing machine were already open. Direct replacement was easy and obvious with no need for a video.... 

Replaced the door seal. It would have been a repair from hell if not for your video. The step by step instructions and the tool requirements made the process a walk in the park. The hardest part was getting the cable and spring retainer back in place, it requires a bit of strength and the correct leverage. You saved me at least a HUNDRED DOLLARS for less than an hours work. Thank you.
