The problem turned out to be the water valve but replacing the icemaker wasn't a waste as the old one was starting to corrode. I bought from AppliancePartsPros as their videos were very informative. Note that the "icemaker assembly" includes the "icemaker cycling thermostat" as well as other pieces, so if you get the assembly there's no need to get the thermostat. Read More... It would have been very hard to figure out how to replace the ice maker without the detailed video given. I had previously had to replace the inlet valve on this frig due to water freezing in the fill tube. I hope this is the last repair on the icemaker now. Read More...
