Learned that ignitor serves two functions
1) ignite the gas
2) open a valve to let gas flow to oven
Big tip that helped me- A few ovens have an auto shutoff valve that fails. Closed when ignitor fails thus preventing gas from entering oven. Despite replacing ignitor, this valve can be opened manually. Mine was on the main valve on back of oven at the bottom that had one line going to burners and one going to oven. Make sure you check that as well. New ignitor glowed hot, no gas. I selected this valve to ON, gas flowed perfectly.
