How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6011883 / WP8183270 Door Latch Assembly

At first we were going to call a repairman, then I started googling the part I thought was the problem which was the latch and I found your web site. After viewing the video, I thought it was something I could do so I took a chance and ordered the part. 

I purchased a new one and replaced it. It was really easy, there was only 3 cords and 2 screws. 

I watched your repair video and ordered the latch switch. The repair exactly matched the video and went very smoothly. Saved me $$$$ on a service call. Your part price also saved me money.Thank you. 

Replaced the failed door lock mechanism. APP had the exact part. 

I called a repairman I know and the part i ordered was super fast shipped got it next day which was the most impressive part and was repaired that afternoon. With this lightening fast parts deliver I will always order from again. 

Suspicion was the door lock solenoid. The online video was a great help showing how to remove the gasket seal to get to the solenoid lock. 

Relatively easy fix with new part. fitting your hand inside to get to the wiring was the hardest part of reconnecting the door latch. Then getting the boot back on is always a challenge. I followed this video and they laid it out in an easy to follow manner. It was exactly how it fixed. 

Replaced the door lock assembly 

Put new door switch in Part came in 24 hrs 

The video attached to the part was extremely helpful. By simply removing a couple screws and connectors was able to replace the part with very little trouble. Easy fix.
