First, the video provided was very helpful. Here is the "but". It would be impossible for Appliancepartspros to do a video on every model, I know that. The way our top lifted was NOTHING like the video. Once inside, it was exactly like the video.
With the help of APP friendly (and oh so patient) chat operators it was determined that there were two clips on the rear of the machine, that once removed, the top magically lifted right up.
I spent more time screwing around trying to lift the top than I did doing the repair. Seriously, if it takes more than fifteen minutes to replace that part you are dogging it. On the other hand I spent 45 minutes trying to get the lid raised until the epiphany.
If you have this model - Remove the top screws from the clips on the rear corner of the machine, loosen the bottom ones. THEN slide the top forward about 1/2 inch. THEN lift the front of the lid about 1/4 inch. THEN push the clips on the front corners of the machine (in between the top and base) which release the top. There, I just saved you an hour on a chat line.
