How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP3138838 / 285811 Medium Cam Agitator Repair Kit

Pretty simple fix only to about 10 minutes to take apart and put back together. Took time to clean old soap residue off agitator with an old toothbrush. The only tools used were a 7/16” socket, long extension and ratchet to remove the bolt holding the agitator in place.

Watched the repair video. Removed dispenser, inner cover, 7/16 retaining nut and upper agitator. Removed old cam parts and replaced with new. Assembled upper agitator and it worked perfectly.
