How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6007247 / WP2315539 Evaporator Motor

Ordered new motor from you, installed it and fridge is cold again. 

Checked the evaporator fan motor, it would run if touching blades but stopped when temperatures came up. When spinning blades it felt like it had a flat spot in it. Changed the motor, working fine now. 

I replaced the evaporator motor and within 2 days the temperature was back to normal. 

The evaporator fan stopped working. I replaced the evaporator fan and it is working very well now. The refrigerator is 4 years old. 

Evaporator fan motor. 

Replaced the Evaporator motor in the rear of the freezer compartment. Our refrigerator is the standard freezer above the refrigerator design. We also have the ice maker in the freezer. Very easy to replace. Completed the job in less than 30 minutes. The refrigerator and freezer are running great again. Temperatures are what they should be. Normal operation restored. 

Watched a trouble shooting video from Maytag, went through the list, cleaned out fan motor, under frig, pulled freezer panel out and say ice blocking the tube running to the frig. Thawed it out and put everything back but evaporator fan not working. Figured that was the first part to try so ordered the evaporator motor. Choose standard delivery, shipped out the day I ordered. Received in 2 days, watched the how to video that came in the confirmation email and had it installed in 15 mins. Replaced cooling fan motor and defrost sensor. 

After a little research, I decided to replace the capacitor. This fixed part of the problem as I could now hear the condenser kicking on. The unit was still too warm the noticed the evaporator fan was turning. I could start with a finger but it would not start by itself. Replaced evaporator fan and the unit is working great so far 

After placing all the real perishable items in coolers or our other freezer, I removed the cover to the evaporator fan. It was very apparent the fan was not running yet there was some cooling so it appeared the compressor and evaporator were functioning. I did a computer search for appliance parts and found AppliancePartsPros.com. With the model # for the refrigerator I was able to identify the part I needed (the evaporator fan motor) and ordered it. (This was on a Saturday) The part went out on Monday and I had it Wednesday. It took about 15 minutes to replace the motor - end result - the refrigerator works better than before. The setting used before was on the coolest setting - now it is set at about 1/2 way to the coolest setting and holding 35 degrees F in the fridge and about 10 in the freezer.
