How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP4009649 / 12002744 Evaporator Fan Motor Kit

Found that evaporation fan was not spinning, ordered, and replaced. 

Replaced defective evaporator fan motor. 

The evaporator fan was not working. I used an ohm/volt meter to read fan motor resistance, which read an open circuit. The supply voltage to the fan motor reads the proper voltage. The evaporator fan motor kit I received did not look like the picture on your website which is a sealed unit. The replacement evaporator fan motor kit (exposed wire connections) worked ok, however, this motor kit is considerably cheaper with other vendors. My original evaporator fan motor was a sealed unit. 

Replaced freezer fan and damper assembly. It took about an hour. This is appliance pros 

I Googled the problem and found the appliancepartspros video that walked me through possible troubleshooting and repairs. It made sense, so I ordered the part for the evaporator motor. The damper control was making noise so I went ahead and ordered that as well. I think the hardest part of the repair was the tight space that I was working in. The video was very thorough and helpful. I compared prices with amazon.com and decided even though it was a little cheaper on Amazon I felt there was value in the repair videos that you offer so I ordered my parts from appliancepartspros. Thanks again everything is working beautifully.

Replaced fan motor in freezer compartment refrigerator cooling normally. 

Replaced the evaporator fan. Note part provided by appliancepartspros.com was different then original and would have been cheaper if purchased through Amazon.
