How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP4011179 / 12112425 Washer Pump And Drive Belt Kit

Replaced pump and drum belts, problem solved . This may sound like a commercial but my machines are close to 40 years old. Without Appliance Parts Pros and their huge inventory of parts, I would be buying a new machine instead of happily reporting that the old ones are running fine. 

Replaced pump and drive belt 

"Googled" the issue and found Appliance Parts Pros. The video on the site showed how to fix the problem. 

Disassembled drum from chassis and found wear in casting at base. Used JB Weld epoxy to fill worn casting and sanded to existing contour. Replaced damper pads, added supplied lubricant and re-assembled. Added new belts and is working like a charm! 

Was able to find the motor and replacement set of belts on the web site quickly by entering my machine’s model number. Parts arrived very fast! They fit as expected. The installation video’s explained the process simply and perfectly leading to a successful repair. This will be my first stop for any future appliance repairs.
