How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP5650269 / W10536347 Washer Drain Pump

I did the job myself great instructions 

New drain pump 

Selected drain and spin on cycle selector. Poured cold water in the tub about 2 gallon. Turned machine on and watch small stream of water coming from drain hose. Ordered new drain pump. Installed new drain pump and machine drained properly. 

Replaced the pump 

I viewed lots of videos to try to figure out how to fix my Maytag Bravos MCT. I knew I had messed it up because i tried to wash a yorkie dog bed that had too much sand in it We had to take the back off several times, to clean out the water drain pump and recycling pump. Sometimes it would start and sometimes it wouldn't, plus the door latch was not working right. I went ahead and ordered a new latch kit along with a new drain pump. That was Thursday afternoon. To my surprise the parts arrived on Saturday! That night we actually removed the tub to clean out under it, then changed out the latch lock. Lastly we replaced the drain pump. WORKS LIKE A NEW MACHINE NOW! I am so happy. I can't believe the fast customer service and how quickly the parts came. I was really dreading a visit to the washiteria. Thank you for such prompt service 

I used Google to look up what to do and found AppliancePartsPros to order the pump and then used the video to do the job myself. Things went well by following the instructions on the video. What a great experience and I saved $200 that the repairman was going to charge. 

Read diagnostic codes, ordered part from appliancepartspros.com performed pump installation. 

I brought a new pump and changed the coupling that made the machine rotateback and forth. 

Ordered pump from appliancepartspros.com. Normal shipping but still arrived next day. 15 minutes to change out pump and back to washing laundry. 

Pump was straight forward...pull bad 1 and replace. Instructions with bearing kit were detailed, and fairly thorough. Both repairs were easy enough.
