How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6023357 / WPW10605427 Drain Pump

Orders the parts, easy disassembly and assembly. 

Removed old pump and replaced with Drain Pump. Easy repair. Made the machine run as good as new! 

It's a simple repair once your into the back of the Whirlpool washer. However, I felt that the pump might as well be replaced while I'm checking hoses etc for clogs. $100 bucks for the pump and sensor and I'm confident the repair will last. I spent about an hour to collect tools and do the repair. Most of the time was spent disassembling and reassembling the back and top of the machine. Very easy fix 

Easy repair. Removed the filter and used a mirror to see what was causing the pump to fail. Saw the impeller for the pump was broken off and loose. Ordered the new part, removed the old one and slapped the new part back in and it has been getting the job done.

Replaced both the drain pump and water level switch. Fixed the problem immediately!

Look at repair service prices and decided to see if I could do it myself. While admittedly not that mechanical I was able to get the part out, reference part number, order it from AppliancePartPros.com and install it. Ordering was easy. Multiple photos from different angles helped confirm that it was the right part. 

It would work, then not work, I could trick it into working but for how long? I kept saying "sounds like something in the drain", not exactly. I did call a few other places first and after, to double check me and AppliancePartsPros.com. Drain pump they said, so did a few other companies. Along with a few that wanted to send me different parts. So why AppliancePartsPros.com They were right, they would take the part back, easy to explain issue and they gave me the confidence to fix it myself. Great follow up, hope nothing else breaks but if it does these people are my go to.
