How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6023956 / WPW10730972 Water Pump

New pump, watched repair video, washer working great now.....I have had no experience in appliance repair. 

I replaced the water pump motor so the water would drain. Your website video was very helpful and spot on as the cause and repair of the washer. 

Washer would not drain. Purchased replacement pump and was easy to remove. Had replaced this pump 9 years ago. Found small sock in impeller. No more code and washer drains perfectly. 

I went online to see videos of what could possibly be the problem. I cleaned out all the hoses as several videos suggested, but still got the error code. One of the videos suggested your website. I was able to search the make of my washer and error code and it gave me the parts that needed to be replaced as well as videos on how to remove the old part and replace it with the new part. With that information, it only took 10 minutes to repair. The machine has worked ever since. Thanks for the website and videos. 

Replaced drain pump, incredibly easy to do... 

Installed a new water pump with attached "filter."  I never even knew that a washing machine had a "filter!"  Watched the very helpful brief video on AppliancePartsPros...and after super fast shipping and fairly easy installation:  PROBLEM SOLVED!   Although I have a decent level of mechanical aptitude, I never dealt with appliances.  But in the last 2 years, I've fixed a Bosch dishwasher (needed new circuit board), fixed a Kenmore dryer (new drive belt), and most recently the Kenmore washing machine (water pump.)   All three were success stories DUE TO THE EXCELLENT info, products, helpful customer reviews, and fast shipping - - all from AppliancePartsPros.com.   I am telling friends of this excellent resource.  It provides customer service that is rare indeed these days.  ~george, in midcoast maine~ 

When it did not drain after cleaning drain filter, we decided the problem was the pump. It made a low humming sound. After watching your how-to video, we decided it was not a hard job to replace. Ordered the part from Appliance Parts Pros, and my husband replaced the drain pump. Washer is back to working perfectly. My only suggestion—if there is an easy way to flush the hoses inside the washer, we would have appreciated those instructions. We would have done that while the pump was off. 

I went online and looked up the code, found your website and ordered the part- was the water pump. My husband watched the Video instructions and replaced it with ease! We will use this site anytime we need to fix any appliance Thanks!!! 

Ordered a new pump. Installed it ourselves. Washer is working again perfectly!
