Gary C Sandy , UT November 14, 2014 Appliance: Maytag Dishwasher MDB7600AWB A wheel of the rack assembly adjuster was broken The AppliancePartsPros website helped me identify the part I needed and even gave a very helpful video on how to take out the upper rack to do the replacement. I bought a new rack assembly adjuster and replaced the old one. The only negative on the experience is that on the old part the wheels are removable and had the new one been built that way I could have bought just a wheel for maybe $4 + $4 shipping. Instead I had to buy the whole assembly and the repair cost about $45. The screws on the rack assembly have torx heads and lacking a torx screwdriver I was able to work with them using a hex wrench. I online chatted with a rep who was super helpful. He/she also took the order right there and had it shipped. The package arrived a couple of days later. I removed the top rack out of the dishwasher. Removed five (I think) screws with a hex. You may want to pay attention to how the parts come off so you can put back the new part in exactly the same order. Took about 5 minutes. Read More... Glad I had the right six-sided star screw head to remove the original screws, or it would have meant a trip to the hardware store. Installed mostly easily with a little tweaking for the tension spring. Now, I don't have to life and drag the upper basket to fill it...all done! Read More...
