How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6012237 / WP8268433 Spray Arm Seal

Replaced 5 worn parts, 1to go 

I ordered these parts and hope that it will do the trick 

So just a old school kind of guy who always fixes everything himself. The dishwasher that came with the house finally blew apart and was old, so started looking around at used appliance places and never got what I was looking for . After looking for few weeks a local builder was doing a remodel and just giving away stuff so I got a nice system for free. Was told never worked right and they tried to fix it before. So me being me, I took the whole thing down cleaned it up and replaced the parts I ordered. Bam ?? that’s the ticket, works like new, and only cost me the price of the repair. So got a 800$ dishwasher for 80$ worked in my favor this time, and the wife and kids are happy. 

I installed a new chopper as mine had broken into several pieces. I also installed the adjuster kit to correct the broken wheels on the top shelf. For good measure I also installed a new third level spin washer and a spray arm seal. The last two items probably were not necessary but I figured if I am already in there I might as well take care of them for some piece of mind. Took about 45 minutes to complete everything. Straight forward job. Required Torx 15 & 20 to access the chopper. 

After replacing the parts, the top rack was still not cleaning well. While looking for another possible repair, I realized the problem was low pump pressure. I watched the video to replace the chopper, and sure enough, the grate was clogged. cleaned that up and working like new. 

Incredibly easy fix. Watched a quick Youtube video just to be sure but could have easily figured it out myself. Didn't need to order the new spray arm seal FYI. The old one was just fine and unlikely to need replacing. 

I purchased the parts indicated on this review and... well the dishwasher is working fine now. I cannot complain about the quality of the parts, everything worked extremely well. I do feel like I would have spent less money just buying a new dishwasher.
