How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP5650274 / W10542314 Gasket And Strike Kit

REPLACED THE DOOR GASKET, WHICH SEEMS TO BE WORKING FINE NOW. HOWEVER, THE DELIVERY OF THE ORDERED PART TOOK A TOTAL OF 10 DAYS. FEDEX DECIDED TO ROUTE THE PACKAGE BY WAY OF TEXAS. WE HAD TO LEAVE THE PAN UNDER THE DISHWASHER DOOR LONGER THAN EXPECTED. NO WORRIES, THANKS FOR YOUR HELP. 

Super easy! The old gasket simply pulls off from around the inside of the door stop area. To install the new one I just started in the corner on one side and worked my way around to the other side. I just used my hands to work it in tightly but you could use a flat screwdriver or similar to ensure a tight fit, just be sure not to pinch or puncture the new one with any tools. It also came with a new door latch which was awesome and very easy to replace. Unscrew two screws on the underside of your counter to be able to pull the unit out 2-3 inches, compress the latch locks and slide it out. Replace with the new latch and reinstall the two screws that hold the unit to the counter.

I ordered new gaskets for the model we own. They were a bit stuff to get on with assurance they were sealing. Finally, I ran the dishwasher and watched it through the entire cycle. No leaks!!! 

Ordered a new door seal. The seal arrived quickly - as promised. It was a little pricey, could have done better on Amazon. There were no directions or hints included with the seal. It wouldn't seat all the way in at first. It finally dawned on me that I needed to use a lubricant to get the seal to seat correctly. It would have been nice if that were suggested. After that, it went into the dishwasher groove without issue, and it no longer leaks.
