Received new dryer roughly 6 months ago. 3 months in, it had a blown thermal fuse. Replaced. 3 months after that, dryer was producing no heat. Checked systems and found blown high limit thermostat. Replaced. Once I replaced the high limit, the dryer would heat even when not running (as long as the timer was on a hot timer setting). Pulled the heating element out and found that it had ground to the body (I expect this has been the issue all along). Still was getting no heat so I called Appliance Parts Pros and had an awesome conversation with Michael. We confirmed that 1 circuit was at 120V but the other was only 3-5V. After checking all systems, we finally looked at the terminal block and immediately found the problem. The dryer red wire was melted off the terminal block. Ordered a new terminal block kit. Cut the red wire on the dryer and stripped the coating. Spliced it with the new wire in the kit. Swapped terminal blocks and re-assembled everything. Works great now.
