How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6008309 / WP3390719 Dryer Thermal Fuse

Replaced the thermistor 

Change all 3 parts 

Ordered part, great service, quick.... Problem fixed. 

Replaced the Thermal Fuse. 

After looking at the schematics, I figured out that the thermal fuse was bad. I got on your website, looked up my model and ordered my part. It was easy to order, didn't take long to get here, and it was easy to fix. Thank you. 

After identifying the problem existed with the thermal fuse I was able to locate it at Appliance parts pro. I searched many locations and found the part here. Appliance Parts Pro cross checked with the model number of the dryer to identify the part as a perfect fit. The part arrived within 2 days of ordering it. The dryer worked instantly after putting on the part. I was very pleased with their service 

Ordered a snubber and new springs. thanks to your video i found out about the spring,that would have probably killed me. 

I started troubleshooting myself. The schematic was useful but there was a few things I did not understand. I turned to the Internet and found the videos produced by Appliance Parts Pros. The videos explained exactly what I needed to know, how the dryer circuits functioned, and how to trouble shoot the problem. I found the problem just as described in the video. Tested and replaced the failed parts. The fuse was definitely the problem. I replaced the temperature sensor for extra measure. Thank you Appliance Parts Pros for the excellent technical advice! I will be turning here again. 

The hard part was taking apart the dryer so I could get to the fuse. Once all of that was done, the rest was relatively easy. I put the new fuse in, put the dryer back together, and now it works great. 

Replaced Thermal Fuse, cleaned the exhaust duct with duct cleaning kit and leaf blower. Works for now.
