How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6019618 / WPW10327249 Water Inlet Valve

I removed the old valve and ordered a new one. 

I narrowed down the problem on AI by the sound coming from the clogging valve, and they recommended AppliancePartsPros.com if I needed to purchase a new valve. I watched the video on AppliancePartsPros.com on this exact topic of replacing the inlet water valve and decided I was capable of doing it myself. I ordered the part and it came in a couple of days. I watched the video again to make sure of the steps, and then took care of the replacement. I left the kick plate off of the dishwasher for a couple of days to make sure I had not made a mistake, and then put it back. First off, I know nothing about appliances but I am mechanically inclined. I reviewed a few YouTube videos and went to work. I tracked the issue to the water inlet valve and queried several local appliances parts warehouses for cost and availability. None of the warehouses had the inlet valve in stock and availability in 3-5 days. The warehouses price also ranged from $60.00-$75.00. When I checked AppliancePartsPros.com the inlet valve was in stock with a price of $35.00 and shipping in 2-3 days standard. I received the inlet the very next day and my dishwasher is back in service. I replaced the fill valve and water level switch. Diagnostic mode indicated that it was a faulty level switch, but I wanted to replace the aging fill valve as well. I found the installation videos Very helpful. Works like a charm now! Thanks AppliancePartsPros.com! 

Pulled the old fill valve out and installed the new one. Didn't even have to pull the dishwasher out. 

Turned off the hot water to the dishwasher since it kept flowing into the dishwasher even with the door open. I was able to eventually get the water to not flow into the dishwasher after hitting cancel multiple times and then it was safe to turn the water back on. After doing some research and starting and cancelling the wash cycles, I was able to determine it was the water inlet valve that was sometimes sticking open and closing slowly. After all of the water was removed from the bottom of the dishwasher by using a ShopVac, I found this part, ordered it, and waited a few days for it to arrive. With the hot water off and the power to the dishwasher off, I followed the same repair video listed with this part. It was just as simple as the video.

Google search indicated it was the Water Inlet Value. I watched the AppliancePartsPros.com video for replacing the part. Took the bottom plate off and it looked like the video. So, I purchased the part and replaced it as shown in the video. Took about 45 minutes but only because it took me a bit to disconnect the old part. But, the video was spot on (5 stars). Be advised, the new part has a "cover" over the electric nodes that you must remove. This is my second time using AppliancePartsPros.com and its videos. The first was replacing the water seal on a front loader washer. Once again the video on how to do this was spot on (5 stars).
