I like to shop and buy locally, whenever I can, but when you can save 50%,well AppliancePartsPros.com saved me a bunch. I purchased the water valve and the icemaker, and I installed the valve first. The valve didn't fix the problem so I then installed the icemaker. All of the instructional videos that I found were for replacing the icemaker in top freezers and I am sure that it is much easier to do this in a top freezer. A video showing how to do this in a bottom freezer would be a great help. The difficulty is getting to the icemaker in a bottom freezer. I had to take the drawer front off and never did get the top sliding basket out so I ended up working on it laying on my back with the basket pulled out over me.It is important to take a jumper wire and trick the new icemaker into a harvest cycle to get things going after you have completed the job. It took me about an hour or so to install the icemaker and less than 30 minutes to put in the valve. All in all, it wasn't too difficult, other than the accessibility issues for a bottom mounted freezer.
