How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6329217 / W11210459 Washer Water Inlet Valve

After I received an estimate from my local appliance repair, I decided to see how much the part cost. When I did so, I noticed they had a DIY video. I can't say enough about how invaluable the video was. It was literally a step-by-step instructional and saved me over $300 for something that took me about 15 minutes. I am not one to do repairs myself. It's not something that comes easy to me but this video showed how simple it was and I'm so glad I found it. 

The part and the how-to video was the sulution. Everything fit and plugged right up to the washer. The washer is back to normal. 

I noticed my washer wouldn't fill or run when set to cold. When set to warm or hot it would only finish half the cycle because rinses are only cold on my machine. Ordered this replacement inlet valve and it came much faster than estimated. Looks like they had a fulfilment warehouse in my city and I got the part the next day despite only paying for the slow shipping. Awesome! Replacing this part was super easy. I watched the video which was very clear and easy to understand. Just a few screws to remove the back panel and a putty knife to unhook two clips. It took me about 10 minutes to complete this repair. 

Looked my model up on AppliancePartsPros.com website. The part was discontinued but in the helpline chat I was given a replacement part number and they placed an order for me. I received the part in 1.5 days installed it and now washing away. Thanks for the help and low cost of parts! 

Husband wouldn't try to trouble shoot it. Said machine was old and he was gonna get a used one to replace it. I said no sir... and fixed it myself! The machine was stalling on the wash cycle. I used YouTube and found the service technician booklet in my machine. Used the on-board diagnostics to determine there was an issue with the water flow. Took the back apart and noticed that the solenoid on the cold side was loose but the hot side was super tight. Ordered the replacement from here, changed it myself, used the service tech manual to calibrate it, and it's working like new!!! Ha! I will be completely insufferable for the next month.. at least.. maybe longer lol 

I ordered a new replacement part. Inlet valve and made the replacement easily by previewing the tutorial video ....works like a champ and the difficulty level was about a 1 the price was also surprisingly affordable. 

Watched the AppliancePartsPros.com video. Disconnected the water and power, pulled the machine out from the wall and removed the back, top panel. Removed the top control panel. Disconnected the part and replaced with the new one. Put the panels back on and reconnected the water and power. Pushed the machine back in place and was immediately able to complete a load with cool water. The video was so helpful to show how easy this was! And the feature that allowed me to check the fit with our model prevented me from ordering the wrong part, truly. Great experience overall.... I will use this website first anytime something goes wrong with an appliance. 

Replaced the fill valve assembly and that corrected the problem. 15-minute fix. 

We replaced the Water Inlet Valve. 

There was a slow drip into the tub when not using the machine. I bought this solenoid pack and planned to install it at some point. 1 day after its quick arrival the machine stopped letting water into the tub during the rinse and spin cycle. While this was bad timing I was thankful to have the part on hand. Easy to install, high quality, fast arrival, and fixed the problems.
