How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6011851 / WP8182862 Water Valve

Using the Appliance Parts Pros YouTube video on my cell phone, I followed along step-by-step and had the part replaced and the machine back together in about 10 minutes. It was very, very easy to perform this repair myself. Best part: I'm a girl!! Washer now is pulling cold water for rinses and delicate cycle. Yay!

Ordered new valve from Appliance Parts Pros. Local 1st Source wanted $65 which is ridiculous. Bought it from APP for $45. They also had a perfect tutorial on installation which is the main reason I bought it from them. I would have paid more just out of gratitude for the perfect tutorial. I've done a lot of appliance repair but nothing beats seeing the exact job done first..... 

Replaced Water Value and Pressure Switch. WP8182862 (AP6011851) WPW10514214 (AP6022522) 

The water inlet valve was leaking. Watched an online video, then ordered the part. Replaced water inlet valve - was easy after watching online video. Everything went smooth; the problem was solved. 

Replaced the water inlet valves with the assistance of the video on Appliance Parts Pros. 

I purchased a new water valve and installed it. Since then I haven't had another F20 error code. It's been about 5 washes. Before the new valve, virtually every other washing resulted an a F20 error code. 

Ordered part from AppliancePartsPros.com. Once the part came in, I used the repair video to help me with the repair. The video was spot on (Great)..... 

The great and all knowing internet had a repair video from Appliance Parts Pros for these two symptoms. Ordered part, watched video for refresher, installed part and now I wash many clothes. Very straight forward and very easy fix. 

I was getting the F20 error code on every other load and the fabric softener side of the dispenser was no longer filling with water. I tried cleaning out the screens on the inlet valve but it did not help. I ordered the inlet valve on Monday and it arrived on Tuesday. However it was broken upon arrival. I spoke with Jeana via the customer service chat and explained the situation. She ordered a replacement that evening and it arrived Thursday. This one was not broken After replacing the inlet water valve (and cleaning the top of the dispenser) the water pressure was greatly increased and I no longer got an error code.
