How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6023768 / WPW10683603 Water Inlet Valve

Replace valve. 

Replaced water inlet valve. Easy and washer is up and running in 15 minutes. Actually think its working better than originally newly installed. BTW-best customer service I have received in over a year!! Friendly, easy to understand and helpful. (Chandler) 

Replaced the water control valve. 

Replaced the water inlet controls. It was easy unplug washer, remove 5 hex-head screws, unplug power cable from board, turn off water at source, remove water lines and remove bad part. Installation was reverse process. Took about 7 minutes. Then tested it by loading a small load of laundry. Mischief managed. 

Replaced water valves with part from your company. 

Replaced the Hot/cold water input assembly (Roper washer). It took about 45 minutes from start to completion. I used the procedure from Youtube to see the process. 

Replaced the inlet valve. Very simple procedure. 

We replaced the water valve. There are several helpful videos on youtube. With our particular washer, we unplugged the washer. Then I turned off the water source and took off the hoses. After that, we took screws off of the back to take the upper plate off. Behind the upper plate in the center is the water valve. It is held in by two screws. Make sure to unplug the electrical source before removing it. We just went in the reverse order in putting it back together. It was helpful to label the screws into certain bags because we had to wait a few days for the part to come in the mail. Since we have had our washer a little over 4 years, we replaced the hoses as well. 

Replaced the valve. Also replaced the old shutoff valve in the house and cleaned hose inlet screens. As usual, it is never as easy as the YouTube videos show. I had to remove the backplate since the water connections were too long to pull it out with the backplate on. I also had to route the control wires differently than the old one since they are shorter. Overall no big deal. The machine is working again as designed. 

Fixed the problem myself. Easy fix. But when I replaced the part, still no hot water. Turned on the hot water at the valve. Still no hot water. ( My bad,) I have a Mana bloc system, low and behold, at some point, I had shut off the hot water to the Mana bloc. NOW I have hot water.
