The part arrived new and as advertised. However, I did not like having to order two tubes just to get the one I needed. I will have to just throw away the unused tube assembly that cost me $40 ($80 for both of them). The video by Appliance Parts was very valuable. This tube replacement was more involved than a prior job I did. The video showed how to use a “fish” string for the tube and explained that the freezer door hinge and cam should be removed to reduced the friction when pulling the tube. That was useful info; but, there was no mention about how the 3 hinge screws were held in place to put it back together. The cabinet (in my unit) does not have threaded holes. A loose plate with three threaded holes has to be positioned and manually held in place inside the cabinet to receive the bolts for the hinge. This was by far the most difficult part - putting the hinge back on. One of the 3 bolts is also slightly different from the other two. I did manage to successfully complete the repair. And, the freezer door fell off the wooden block and mashed my hand only twice! Be sure to watch the video and work carefully!
