How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP3103466 / 4318046 Water Valve

Your videos to diagnose what was causing the water leak on the floor was right on, it was the water inlet valve. I had turned off the water and went without any ice or chilled water for months because I thought it was too difficult. But after watching your video on how to replace the water inlet valve for our specific model refrigerator it looked within my abilities. The part came quickly in the mail and the repair turned out to be much easier than I thought thanks to your step by step repair video. I am completely satisfied. 

With advice from your parts pros I replaced the dual water valve, and voila ice maker is working great again.

My son installed the new valve. At my age couldn't move the refrigerator. 

New valve. Done in 15 minutes. Way easy. 

Changed the inlet water valve. 

Had to use cell phone to take a picture of the ID tag with Model# and SN #. With both numbers was able to access parts list from Mfg. Armed with 21 year old parts list is was a snap to get replacement part for 21 yr old refrigerator and installation video from Appliance Parts Pros.com. Received replacement part 3 days later which sorta looked like original part but updated. Not an exact replacement but after watching the video again.was able to determine even with the updated design it should work. Installed in a few minutes, checked water connections for leaks over night and put everything back together with only a couple of screws left over. Start to finish was much longer than estimated only because I was careful to re-read instructions and re-watched the video a number of times. The project was a success and its making ice now. 

Replace the Ice maker and installed the water inlet valve assembly. 

Looked up part with the on line help, and changed it out.
