After watching a couple of videos I opened the top and discovered that the drive belt was broken. Since we got this dryer as a wedding gift in 1985 and I have only had to do 2 previous repairs I decided to fix it again. The parts were reasonably priced and with expedited shipping I was able to get the parts in a couple of days. I expected the repair to take up to a couple of hours but it took less than an hour. I ordered some spare parts so I should be good for another 10 years or so. They don’t make appliances as rugged as these anymore.
