I opened the lid and replaced the hot water inlet valve assembly. Checked all the rubber hoses were clamped tightly and closed it up. As a precaution I laid the washing machine on its side. I replaced the tub to pump hose as well. Once finished I put the washing machine on cinder blocks so I could see where the leaks were coming from. I put 4 laundry loads in and not one leak!!! I am glad I did not call for a repairman.
