This is a replacement eye hasp designed to hold the control module in place on generators. The eye hasp connects the back of the control module to the body of the generator and holds it in place with a bolt that fits through the eye. Because this part does not move, it will suffer from only minor wear and tear. The primary risk is from rust due to exposure to the elements. If the eye hasp becomes severely rusted or is damaged or lost when removing the control panel, it will need to be replaced.Replacing the eye hasp is not difficult, but will require the removal of the entire control panel from the generator. Once the module has been removed, locate the mounting point where the hasp attaches to the control module and remove the hasp. Install the replacement hasp and then reattach the control module to the generator body.This genuine OEM part is manufactured by Generac and fits several portable generators the company makes. This way, the operator can get a better angle on whatever it is that they are cleaning and can hold the pressure washer more comfortably. The hinge plate frame attaches to the handle hinge, and as such, it is susceptible to drops and bumps. If an operator accidentally drops their pressure washer gun against a hard surface, the plate frame may break off and be irreparably damaged. If so, a new part will have to be purchased. Switching out a damaged hinge plate frame will require a screwdriver. Be sure to hold onto the two screws removed during disassembly, as they will be needed to attach the new plate frame. This replacement hinge plate frame is compatible with pressure washers made by Generac. As such, this part comes sourced directly from Generac. No additional hardware is included in this shipment. If the two assembly screws are lost, they will need to be bought separately.

The results of such damage could be the detachment of the components that the plate is responsible for connecting, specifically the upper handle tube and the lower frame hinge plate. If this detachment occurs, the damaged hinge plate handle should be removed and a replacement hinge plate handle should be ordered immediately.
